The Plot to Bomb Fort Dix [Gregory S. McNeal]
As Andy McCarthy and Peter Kirsanow point out, it's imperative to make clear to the American people what exactly Bill Ayers and his comrades plotted to do. Jim Geraghty's idea was to host an event near Fort Dix.
That event would go something like this:
— A one hour event outside of Fort Dix
— An explanation of the bomb plot that was planned for Fort Dix, and which would have happened had the bombers not killed themselves.
— The Ayers argument that he wishes he could have done more . . . not made when Obama was 8, but made throughout the 90's and during the last 8 years.
— The target of the failed plot: American soldiers and their girlfriends.
As Jim states:
The American people would never pretend that it is normal to be an employee, friend, and associate of Timothy McVeigh or Eric Rudolph. It's time to ask the hard questions of why Obama had no problem working for and with this man for so long.
Allow me to throw out a potential line: "There's reason to doubt that oft-repeated pledge of 'supporting the troops' when you've worked for a man who tried to kill the troops."
Well, far be it from NRO to not assist in this effort to help American voters understand. Here are three American Legion posts right outside the base.
Phone numbers included, and I'm sure the posts would appreciate your donations to support such an event.

UPDATE:
A reader writes:
It may be better to pitch it as a debate as the American Legion's non-profit status may preclude them from hosting a poltical event.
I agree, and a debate is even better. Why not stand before those veterans, say "I honor your service," and then explain the friendship?
