Soldiers' Voices   [W. Thomas Smith Jr.]

Great piece by Buzz Patterson today on the main page. One Air Force officer he interviewed said:

“The troops’ number-one frustration has consistently been the media reporting. The way the press mishandled Abu Ghraib and Guantánamo had a tremendous negative effect on us. It inflamed the Iraqis at a time when we were making great progress in their support and willingness to help.”

More here.

Buzz, a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, is a combat veteran, former fighter pilot, and former White House military aide who carried the nuclear football. He's also a best-selling author, and his brand new book, War Crimes: The Left's Campaign to Destroy Our Military and Lose the War on Terror, is on sale now.

Just received my copy this week.
